The Pono Project was created to bring tourism, business and conservation together by distributing a percentage of local and tourism dollars to keep our islands more sustainable. We are “doing right by conservation,” creating a support mechanism that provides grant monies for all the deserving and justifiable conservation projects that preserve and protect Hawaii and keep it a beautiful and safe place to live and visit. The Pono Project’s reliable and consistent stream of funding will create or maintain local jobs, provide educational opportunities for our communities and visitors and preserve the functions of our natural environment that keep our water, land and air clean and inviting.
